THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH ENCOURAGES ALL TO EXERCISE CAUTION WHEN AT THE BEACH AND OTHER LARGE BODIES OF WATER.

The Easter season comes with the opportunity for many adults and children to access several waterways including the beach front, for recreation and relaxation. The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs recognizes the increased risk for drowning and near drowning around the Easter Season. As a result, the Ministry of Health encourages all to exercise caution when at the beach and other large bodies of water that presents the risk for drowning.

Special attention must be paid to children, especially those who cannot swim, as they can wander away from groups and find themselves in pools, rivers and the sea without the knowledge of their accompanying parents or guardians. So let us be vigilant and safe as we enjoy the Easter Season.

Once again, the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs wishes everyone a safe and happy Easter.
