Prime Minister and Minister for the Public Service, Hon. Allen Chastanet will attend the funeral service of the Deputy Comptroller of the Customs and Excise Department, the late Trevor Springer, today, Aug. 4, at 2:30 p.m.

Prime Minister Chastanet has expressed condolences to the Customs and Excise Department on the passing of their colleague. The Prime Minister also conveys heartfelt condolences to the family of Trevor Springer.

A career civil servant employed with the Customs Department for 33 years, Springer passed away suddenly on July 27.

His funeral service will be held at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Castries on Aug. 4.

Meantime, the Customs and Excise Department would like to inform the general public that the Department will be closed from midday, in order to facilitate attendance at the funeral service.
